As some of you may have noticed, October is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. Yesterday, October 15th, was the official Remembrance Day for lost angel babies everywhere. You may not know that I, too, have an angel baby. Dominic passed away a few short hours after being born. We have no answers. I cannot even begin to express the soul numbing level of agony, sadness, failure, grief, confusion, regret, awe, incredible love, sheer joy, and the heartache that we experienced. And continue to experience. Because the loss of Dom still hurts every fiber of my being - I hold him and our memories close to my heart, so very secure and private....even now, I fight the urge to delete this post and keep it all to myself. Its safer that way. Calmer. Less painful. But I wont delete this time, because I want other Moms just like me to know that youre not alone. Im struggling with you. I know your silence, hesitation, uncertainty. And I understand. This is a wonderful article to read, about the other quiet mom. The dilemma we face in normal circumstances, the emotions, the drain, the desire to be included. This is a lovely glimpse behind the curtain. =) huffingtonpost/nancy-davis-johnson/the-other-quiet-mom_b_5972990.html
