As some of you may know, I will be studying abroad this January. I will be traveling to South Africa with a program at St. Thomas where I will have the opportunity to learn about the effects of AIDS and Apartheid on the South African community. While I am there, I will also be participating in a program called These Numbers Have Faces. This organization invests in African students to empower them to become leaders in their community by offering college and university scholarships. The students compete for a limited number of scholarships that are granted through the organization. As I prepare for my trip, I am trying to raise $500 to help Ntshembo, a student in South Africa who is studying Computer Science like me! The scholarship will help him continue his education at the University of Western Cape. This donation will help pay for tuition, transportation, books, and programming costs.
