As soon as Simon Peter heard him say It is the Lord, he wrapped his outergarment around himself...and jumped into the water. John 21:7 This is commitment over consistency. Consistency is the continual measurement of external things, whereas commitment is abandonment for that One thing. In Christ we find the answer to all questions the soul begs to know. We loose sight of practicality. We abandon will for what is more real. We become less interested in walking on water, and more interested in grasping the One who sees through us.
