As the 2014 Xtreme Hike wraps up and we get back to school, this weeks science project was about lung capacity. Coincidence? I think not! These boys were able to measure their capacity, compare to one another, and truly take a moment to think about the breath they were taking that very moment. We breathe without thinking, without effort, and without realizing those with cystic fibrosis struggle with the very same breath. A teachable moment to six boys...healthy lungs, how to keep them healthy, and how blessed they are to breathe without effort. They listened intently as Logan and I shared what CF is and does to our beautiful pink lungs. Please support our efforts and help provide life saving research.
