As the Greater Fishponds Neighbourhood Partnership we need a lot - TopicsExpress

As the Greater Fishponds Neighbourhood Partnership we need a lot more people to be involved from our wonderful community and from every corner of our community as well. Run just like a Parish Council the partnership has all six councillors attending, is chaired by an elected representative from the community who until recently was Katie Haydon and now we have Tony Locke who chaired Eastville Ward forums. Officials from Bristol Council to advise in the same way as they advise the Lord Mayor at council. Official minutes which go straight back to City Hall. Police Sergeant and Inspector for Greater Fishponds. Groups representatives from within the Greater Fishponds area. Sub Group chairs and more. We have vacancies for two young people to become members of the committee as well. We need the young peoples voice to be heard, if you can help? Some people have asked for a Neighbourhood Plan as well. Those take months and 1000s of volunteer hours (throughout the group i.e. 40 ppl x 30 hrs a month for a years etc) to develop but it is possible if enough people come forward to lead with that idea. Which areas of expertise in Greater Fishponds would you like to help with or start a new action group to cover? There can never be too many people but its not healthy to have too few.. please be apart of your areas future.. Here is an example of a Neighbourhood Plan being developed by the people of Old Market. A template for anyone hoping to see something like this for Fishponds. oldmarketquarterfuture.org/?page_id=391 Discuss below..
