As the New York Yankees are officially eliminated from the 2014 Post Season with 4 games left to play & dont give Derek Jeter another shot at October (insert last memory of him being helped off field with a fractured ankle against Detroit Game 1 2012 ALCS) I cant help but think... Ironically the Seattle Mariners are 2.5 games better than them at this very point. Is it me, but if you are going to spend ridiculous money over the cap anyway. Why not give Robinson Cano the money he was worth? Im not too big on #s, as everything on paper doesnt turn into Ws. But I certainty know his WAR (Wins Over Replacement) would have put the Yankees in the Playoffs.
