As the San Fran crew sit at the airport waiting to commence their, - TopicsExpress

As the San Fran crew sit at the airport waiting to commence their, now very delayed, journey home there has been time to reflect on what we have gained from our experience. The trip to San Francisco has opened up our eyes to the multitude of possibilities that exist beyond Ballarat, Victoria and Australia. Not only that, but meeting with people like Laura Chambers (dux of BCC in 1995) has made it clear that those possibilities are not out of the realm or likelihood, but within grasping difference, if that is a pathway we choose to forge for ourselves. It has also enhanced our awareness of the importance of how we present ourselves to the world as a result of our intention and unintentional interactions, as well as, the broader world around us, and our place in that world. The tragedy that occurred yesterday, at San Francisco airport; the cause of our 12 hour delay, also gives us the opportunity to reflect on how lucky we are. The generosity that has been extended to us by a plethora of people during this trip has been extraordinary and we hope that we will be able to repay this kindness by bringing this learning back with us to share with others. This is the SF crew signing off on a life changing experience.
