As the coin was tossed that morning on that bright and sunny - TopicsExpress

As the coin was tossed that morning on that bright and sunny day, One side took to the field, two men padded up to play. The ball was a ripping and a swirling as the wickets fell, But now one wicket stands forever, 63 not out. With 408 on his shirt, and a spirit in his heart, His journey here has ended, from this chapter he departs. His passing hasnt gone unnoticed, not without a tear, But from the world of cricket, he will never disappear. He will forever remain around us, in every pitch and toss. Hell be the triumph of every victory and the sobriety of loss. Hell be the extra inches, to make that one handed catch, Hell be orange juice at tea, half way through the match. Hell be there in every team talk, when hes needed most, Hell be those words of wisdom, hell be that extra coach. Hell be in the wind around us, as the ball is hit for a 6, Hell be that extra bit of balance resting on those 3 white sticks. Now that youve left us, its time to lay your eyes to rest. But your spirit still lives on, it beats in every sportsmans chest. Rest in Peace Phillip Hughes.
