Make it part of your lifestyle. Lets resolve to keep our local areas clean. Uttar Pradesh cadre IAS officer Ajay Shankar Pandey has been sweeping his office every day since 1993 when he took charge as sub-divisional magistrate of Etmadpur tehsil in Agra. Pandey has also put a notice outside his room saying, I clean my room myself. Please dont dirty it unnecessarily and increase my workload. Recalling his experience with Pandey, then additional municipal commissioner Anil Kumar Singh said after setting an example by reaching office early and cleaning his room, he started fining people found littering.
