As the holiday season closes in on us, and Thanksgiving is right around the corner I cant help but reflect over the past year and acknowledge what I am SO THANKFUL and GRATEFUL for. First of all, when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and brain cancer in March, I didnt know what to expect and didnt know what direction things would go. Therefore, this yyear I am most thankful for being here to celebrate Thanksgiving and the Holiday Season, with my awesome Family, Friends and Co-Workers I am thankful to God for being in our lives and wrapping his arms around me and my family during this difficult time and making what seemed to be impossible .... possible. I am thankful to my team of Doctors, Nurses, Surgeons and Medical Staff who have created a , so far, successful game plan to battle my cancer and brain tumor, and who have taken such good care of me over the past several months. You all have made me feel special and comfortable in this not so special and very uncomfortable time in my life. I respect each and every one of you for the job you do! I am thankful for my employer and the LCD Family, from the Lanpheres to my Supervisors, and all my coworkers. I sincerely appreciate all of you who have supported me this year. Whether you have helped me on one of my projects, covered for me when I had time off due to surgery, helped me in the shop, helped or came to a benefit fundraiser or whatever else you have done, I truly appreciate it. Your an incredible group of people and I cant thank you all enough. Next, I am thankful for my friends. The support we have received from our group of friends and the Moto community has been very humbling and absolutely incredible. Since March our friends have made and sold Ride for Mick bracelets, created fundraisers and benefits, donated money to our go-fund-me web site created by our friend and Vicki s coworker , brought money, dinners, food etc to our house and more! Not to mention the support of our friends that helped make both fundraisers so successful which were put on by Beaverton Motorcycles, Jerry and Sharon Lenz and Rick and Ron Wylder. And last but definitely not least, I am extremely thankful for my Family Going through an illness such as this is very hard on a family and definitely takes a toll on you at times. I appreciate all the support from both my immediate and extended family. My wife and kids have had to deal with things that most people shouldnt have to deal with, and have done it in a very positive manner. Vicki, you especially have to know how thankful I am for you. You are my ROCK and help keep everything moving in the right direction . I love you with all my heart and could not battle this without your help and support!!! To finalize this, Im SO THANKFUL for everyone I mentioned above and everyone that will read this. I LOVE YOU ALL Happy Thanksgiving to YOU and YOUR FAMILIES
