As the old saying goes,a good defense always stops a good offense. - TopicsExpress

As the old saying goes,a good defense always stops a good offense. Lets just say we will find that out come Sunday night as the undefeated Chiefs take on the 8-1 Denver Broncos in Denver. The Chiefs, with the top rated defense in the NFL, will face a red-hot Peyton Manning, who leads the league with 33 touchdown passes and are looking to solidify their status as the team to beat in the AFC. However, the Chiefs have a pass rush, not to mention a defense that is second to none in the NFL,giving up a total of 111 points up to this point. They dont blitz much, relying mostly on their front four to put pressure on the opposing quarterback, led by Tamba Hali. Should the Chiefs win, this will answer the question we all been asking,Are the Chiefs for real?I think it will be answered regardlesss Sunday night! The 49ers head into New Orleans to face Drew Brees and the New Orelans Saints, who put up 55 points last week against a very pourus Dallas defense, who also gave up over 600 total yards in the process. The 49ers looked every bit the beaten team after putting three field goals on the board and failing to score a touchdown against the also red-hot Carolina Panthers, who are a game behind the Saints at 6-3. I think the Saints continue their tear on NFL defenses and come out on top. The Steelers,on a respirator as far as a playoff bid is concerned, look to win back-to-back games for the second time this season as they face the Lions,wo also are looking to stay in the race over in the NFC. With the current demise of the Packers and the Bears not playing as well as many expected, the Lions will be in position to raise a few eyebrows in the division race. The Ravens beat the Bears in Chicago,Tampa Bay,Eagles,Giants,Cardinals,Bengals all come out on top. The game to watch is the Patriots -Panthers game in Carolina. The Patriots, coming off a bye week, are looking to stay ahead of the surprising New York Jets, who already have beaten the Pats earlier this season. Carolina, like the Chiefs have a stingy defense, are hoping to stay neck-and-neck with the Saints for the division crown. Cam Newton is a qb that can make things happen, especially with his ability to move out of the pocket and make things happen. I like the Panthers in a close one here. My upset of the week has the Vikings taking on the Seahawks and their tweltfh man in Seattle. Seattle has been winning but only after finding themselves down by a touchdown or more. You ever have that gut feeling? I do! Enjoy the games!
