As the seasons change today in the two hemispheres today, let them inspire your marketing. The changing of the seasons is a great time to look around you and adapt to whats coming, and prepare yourself for a new phase. So we thought wed write you a post about that how both seasons can be used in your Marketing. (Feel free to share our pics with your friends to wish them a happy new season.) If youve been soldiering on with the same strategy and feel you want to think outside the box a bit then why not let nature inspire you and give you a theme for your marketing? Heres a couple of ideas on how to do this: Firstly try brainstorming words associated with the new season. For example; Autumn means reds, browns, golds and rich colours. It means cooler days when the sun is lower, fewer hours of sunlight, halloween, wrapping up, colourful leaves, autumnal fruits... Spring means new life and new birth, pastel colours, warmer days and longer daylight hours. It means clean fresh air and more vitamin D, lambs, berries... You could create a new Facebook cover image to reflect the seasons colours while also making it time sensitive but relevant. You could start thinking about events within the season which you can incorporate into your marketing themes. You can ask your audiences about where they live and what this time of year means to them (like we are here.) As most of us are Brits at the OMA, we have grown up with talk about the weather as polite chit chat but it does also lead on to deeper conversations. Its a great opener because most people will have an opinion about weather in one way or another. The possibilities are endless and whats nice about doing themes like this is that it punctuates your stories and makes them more current. Its a great opportunity to start dialogues with your people and find out their likes and dislikes. How are you going to use the seasons changing in your online activity? Tell us below!
