As the voting day comes to a close I just want to put on record how proud I feel about the way people have conducted themselves today in Scotland. Contrary to belief we are not a nation of drunken battling nationalist. We it seems are simply a nation of people who have to make a decision on our future and we have done that with dignity and in the main in a spirit of absolute respect and understanding for each others viewpoint. Its disappointing that people who dont live here or who formerly lived here have jumped on the stereotypical bandwagon and come to absolutely the wrong conclusion. There has been quiet acceptance today and mutual respect. I cant say I was surprised. Its been an absolute pleasure to be a part of. I took my children to the polling station today. I wanted them to be a part of it all. I hope they look back on this day with pride regardless of who prevails. Again good luck to all. X
