As the weekend starts to come to a close, so does the 1994 NFA - TopicsExpress

As the weekend starts to come to a close, so does the 1994 NFA Class Reunion. It was amazing to see so many faces in person, livelier and talkative outside of the social media walls. A great source that has kept many of us connected & up to date. Did I mention that everyone looked happy & healthy?? :) I mentioned to Shawn last night, school was like a 12-13 year job. You went the same place 5 days a week and relationships developed similar to hierarchies among the staff of us. We had the cool kids, the band kids, the jocks, we were all our own little Breakfast Club movie. You do not realize how much you actually miss faces of those you pass in the hallway and give a wave or gathering at the flag pole to head to the corner store. This was our job..our livelihood! We too were reviewed quartly with our report cards.... I am never one to live in the past, I am scared of the dark and the past holds too many shadows.... but for this one weekend it was a reminder that I have, WE have so many collective stories that intertwine all of us as the class of 94. This weekend I loved swimming in thoughts of Mr. Ottens for science, hanging out in Mr. Gaspards class 3rd period taking some course I cannot even recall, walking to Sals for pizza, heading to parties because our parents went away... and to this day still wearing my Foreign Studies sweatshirt! Some of you....still a bit uneasy this weekend to say hello even though we were not friendly in high school...but that is ok.... we too share the above bond of stories... I hope all of you that traveled by plane, train, bus arrive home safely. May you settle in back to your current job as boss, employee, parent.... and know in your head you are still 18 and the world lies in front of you still with endless possibilities and stories that will keep us always as Newburgh Free Academys Class of 1994!
