As the year starts to wind to a close some reflection on the year is required. The pilot project started in January 2011, and since then we have launched the wiki; offered Industrial Heritage Scholarships; had history students upload finding as part of there studies; had contributors from outside the University; had Education placements and as of today totaled 1,713,081 views. Much of the structural work on the wiki has been undertaken by a former recipient of one of the Industrial Heritage Scholarship, Beth Kicinski. Beth has also been responsible for countless entries AND the entry into the 2013 Ballarat Heritage Awards. A those awards the Ballarat and District Industrial Heritage Wiki received a Special Commendation for heritage Innovation. Congratulations to all those who have contributed to the wiki.
