As we all know, the ONLY reason the School Speed Zone has been lowered to 20mph and speed cameras were installed was obviously for the SAFETY of “The Kids”. I realize now it has nothing to do with the 100’s of 1000’s of dollars it generates in revenue for our mismanaged and bloated county, it is for the SAFETY of “The Kids”. The sole purpose of these camera is to insure that all vehicles only proceed at a SAFE speed of 20 mph while passing a school for the SAFETY of “The Kids” According to Webster: Hy·poc·ri·sy həˈpäkrəsē/ noun the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which ones own behavior does not conform; At 5:35 Thursday afternoon I was passing West Hempstead high school, heading south and driving 21 mph with the rest of the lemmings. At that same time a Nassau County police ambulance, heading northbound, drove through the school zone at a minimum of 50-55 mph. Not that I already didnt know how we are being lied to about these ridiculous cameras and their sole purpose but it really hit me as that ambulance was speeding and swerving through the sacred school Zone. I remember doing an exercise in college where we were given a number of situations and asked if they were Right, Kind of Right, A little Right, Kind of Wrong, A little Wrong or Wrong. We all thought about it and wrote down our answers. The point of the lesson was to teach us that something is either Right or Wrong and driving 20mph ANYWHERE is WRONG, especially with Big Brother watching us.
