As we continue this day that the lord has made and rejoice and be glad in it! I was faced with another issue that troubles me! The famous quote by people in dominica, I have a business, i cant take part in politics. To them i say this: In any country you have the PRIVATE SECTOR and the PUBLIC SECTOR: Private sector: This consists of natural persons(citizens) and legal persons(businesses). The natural person have taken it upon themselves, to put their resources into creating business ventures, which ultimately help boost the socio-economic development in the country. This sector thrives under the provisions mandated by the government of the country!! Public sector: This consist of all entities owned and controlled by the government of any country. The policies, laws and environment that the private sector thrives in is mandated by the government! With that said the input of the private sector in political affairs is more than important, since the government is who can either cause them to lose money or make money, through certain policies implemented, or decisions taken that affect the private sector negatively or positively! Why then is every business owner afraid to be proactive in the political affairs of the country? The private sector is the greatest engine in the countrys economy, so the power the business persons hold is great, and even they are afraid to express themselves openly. This is strange to me!! lets look at this, what do you all think of this?
