As we were returning from a neighboring town (aka where the mall was located), my friend started fidgeting and acting nervous. I asked her what was up. She said she hoped her Momma wouldnt see her in a car with a white girl. Thats the South for ya sometimes, though I imagine mostly in reverse. That was the only time we went anywhere together, which is shame. It was our senior year. This video -- she and I talked a lot about our differences and similarities for years in school. I wish more of us would talk like LaWanda and I did. Hey Wetumpka Indians in Wetumpka, Alabama ... anyone know how to reach LaWanda Austin? I love and miss her. P.S. About your mascot ...
