As we were returning from our long evening walk, we came across - TopicsExpress

As we were returning from our long evening walk, we came across this small tea stall. An adorable old couple was running the stall. They supposedly are in their 80s barely having 10-15 teeth each. They gladly received us as we gathered around and the old man arranged few chairs. Out of which one was broken and it made sure to do its job but I dont actually remember who fell off that chair. Might be the fancy guy or the pirate. Prabhu took the count, ordered the tea and started enquiring about where we can get the chicken. Meanwhile, Shilpa who braced herself with a device to capture and take home the whole of Himalayas with her started a conversation with the couple. They were telling us about how people lead life in those mountains, where their kids live and what they do. Mr. Nvidia was taking the pictures of the couple. The hot tea was served in no time, as we were silently sipping our tea, a small group comprising of girls and women were passing by the stall. They stopped giggling sensing our presence there. They were carrying bamboo baskets on their backs filled with green leaves(maybe the fodder for their cattle). They were so beautiful with a fair complexion and a bright smile on their faces. I think Swapnil instantly had a crush on most of those women. :P Our girls stopped them to take some pictures with them. Priya and Komal then took those bamboo baskets from two women. While Shilpa who was the other girl in the gang then took it from this little girl. The locals were happy to see our girls embraced with those baskets. Pictures were taken, conversations happened and the baskets were returned. While they were about to march away from us, Shilpa reached this adorable little girl from whom she took the basket and kissed her. That was the moment I thought why dint I have a camera to capture that. Then I thought, were the cameras intelligent enough to capture the flow of emotions. There were other conversations happening in the background which I couldnt re-call now though. I think I was the only one who hardly spelt anything in that whole scene. I think I was spellbound with the series of things happening over there. We finished our tea, returned the cups, someone paid the bill, said bye-byes to the old couple and return to our camp site. Now in the hindsight, the locals who always had a smile on their faces makes me understand that happiness comes from within. Everyone has their own share of problems but best way to solve them is to start with a big fat smile. :) like someone quoted, Smile is the second best thing you can do with your lips. Keep smiling :) #Himalayas #Smile
