As with every one of his earlier movies, this title carries the singular signature of Wes Anderson, from the color palette that moves along with the emotional moments of the film to the symmetrical nature of almost every shot. Anderson is a master of creating these John-Irving-nesque worlds with dozens of characters and a back-story that feels incredibly complex and simple at the same time. He does achieve that in this movie, but with a lot less brilliance than in his earlier works. 8/10.
