As you all probably know Im not on Facebook often and post less than that. I Just wanted to thank you all for the Birthday wishes. I sent this message to a friend who sent me a good birthday message and this message is perfect for my family and friends. Its funny — because for me, it seems over life every 10-15 years everything changes, yet stay the same. We start with focusing on what we want to be, what we think others want, and what we can do to fit in. Then we go to whats next — what job or school can I get into, what significant other we dream of, what family would we like, and what house we want to live. We come up with at the time, what success looks like. Then we get to how we want to impact others lives, what we want to be remembered by, and for somewhat our kids be would like that would make us proud and how we can help them. And, I think most of all, we think of who we think we are, who we really are, and who we want to be. Within that equation, we make sure the three add up and we now hopefully become more comfortable and hopefully happier with that person. I have had so many people come into my life to help me get to where I want to be that I believe Im truly blessed. Because no matter the stage I was at, those people where always kind at heart and all along treated people well and were caring people. To me, you are one of those people and I thank you for that. Through my life and soccer, I believe Greatness is not in an achievement, a medal, a job title, or a bank account, but greatness comes from who you are, how you live, and how you treat everyone. And true greatness has always been within you and will always be who you are. This can never be taken away from you We are all on a path and have tests, tears, laughter, heartache, grief, and good and bad memories on the way. But, its important to take it all in, learn from it, and remember it all to truly appreciate life for what it is — knowing that everything along the way helped to mold who we are today. Then after all of that we can only hope we end up with a smile on our face:-). For the brief part of my life you were in, you have become one of the people that helpd to bring a smile to my face and for that I wish you and your family nothing but true happiness:-). I can only hope someday that I can become, as you were for me, one of the people in anothers life that helps them end up with a smile on their face:-)
