As you already know, my Dad, Joe Spivy, quit dying and began really living this past Sunday August 11, 2013. However, his influence was felt in a huge way by so many people. There were well over 500 to come through the line at his memorial service Tuesday night at the Curry church of Christ building and over 400 friends, brothers, and sisters stayed for the Memorial service which he wanted (and we tried to make) it a celebration of his life from the perspective of a child of God going home. Thanks to so many of you for making the effort an taking your time to celebrate with us the life of the greatest man I have ever know. I will try to keep some writings of Dad posted somewhat regularly as I never want to see his work cease. Thanks for your love and respect and admiration that you had for Dad. We love an appreciate you and you know Dad loved you very much as well. I learned a few months ago to not say "Good-bye" but simply to say, "I love you" when we were hanging up. So with that, as I close this post, I will continue what I began with Daddy...We love you.
