As you are aware, my “angels” get together to ensure members of our township have a memorable and bountiful holiday. We provide food, personal care items and GIFTS! Lots of ‘em too!!! How absolutely blessed we are to live in such a community where angels fly out of the rafters to help neighbors!!! Over the past six years the angels wings have covered hundreds of children. HUNDREDS! These children typically come from families that may not necessarily be “eligible” for other assistance. For example, one dad worked at a grocery store and his wife worked at 7/11. According to other organizations, they didn’t meet the threshold for assistance. When my angels learned of this families struggle to provide for their family all the while demonstrating that hard work and good citizenship are better than charity, they spread their wings further than even I could imagine. WOW. So why this post? Because this year the angels have quadrupled their giving and their commitments. Some are even past recipients (how’s that for giving back?) As a direct result of the generosity of Angels we set a goal to help 40 families this holiday. FORTY FAMILIES! 1 child or 15 children. Babies or grandparents. Single or married. We can help! In order to be purposeful in our giving we need your help. There are two requirements. The recipients MUST live in Redford Township AND the recipients must NOT ever know who the angels are. Deal? Please refer your neediest families to me. Please refer your families that are doing their best but really could use a little help. Please refer your families that refuse to ask for help to me. Once you make the referral, I will contact you for specific information about the family. As always it lightens my heart and brightens my day to work with you. I know we will absolutely make this holiday a joyous one for 40 Families of Redford! I look forward to hearing from you SOON!
