As you have noticed, Ive been posting a lot lately about some big news that I have, plus a lot of big changes. This announcement was meant to be for the new year but, due to some small changes, Im doing it a few days early. So, for a while now, Ive been getting tired of the name/brand of Public Disturbance. While I do still like the name and appreciate how far its gotten me so far, it was never my original idea. It was a name that I took on and stuck with when I joined up with a friend and when we split up and decided to go solo. As of today, I will be changing my name and will now be known as Diversus! Its a name that Ive thought of over time and decided is a great fit for me. Once again I have gotten my good friend, awesome graphic designer and fellow DJ/Producer Neight to come up with a great logo to go with it! I will also be changing direction with my DJing. As long as Ive been DJing, I have been playing Melbourne Bounce, mixed with a little bit of Electro House and Minimal mixed in. However, Bounce was never the path that I really wanted to follow. My love and passion for a long time has been Big Room and Electro House music, inspired by such producers as Krunk, Samual James, Ummet Ozcan, DVBBS, Bassjackers, Thomas Newson, W&W and many more. I will be starting to play these genres in my sets, accompanied my a small amount of Bounce, Meltrance and other sub-genres and I am currently learning how to use the programs required for producing my own music, which will be following the same trend! From tomorrow night at Cloud Nine and onwards, I will be using the name Diversus and you will start to see the style of music that I want to follow for the rest of my career as a DJ and Producer. Thankyou to everyone that has supported me so far and I hope to see everyone showing the same amount of support and enthusiasm in the future! A few more big announcements are some upcoming gigs! Thursday 8th Jan - Noizy Neighbours - 11-11:45pm Side Room! Sunday 25th Jan - Valley Vibe Music Festival ft. Will Sparks & Chevy Levett - Set time TBA! Sunday 22nd Mar - Wasteland ft. Keesh, Sammy La Marca, Jungle Jim and more - 1-2am vs Done Right!
