As you know, Make a Mark for Marks primary mission is suicide prevention. We know firsthand the pain of suicidal loss and the pain of realizing we missed our loved ones cry for help. This organization was formed (just two months after Marks death) out of the recognition that people need to understand what mental illness and suicidal thoughts look like BEFORE something tragic happens. For too long, the stigma and shame have prevented this from being part of our everyday conversations, and our aim is to change that. We are raising awareness by boldly speaking of the signs of mental illness, depression and suicidal thoughts, and teaching people how to respond. As 2014 draws to a close, we ask you to consider making a donation, in any amount, to help us continue with this life-saving mission. How will your donation be spent? Your tax-deductible donation will pay for 1) suicide prevention training and certifications that will enable us to take our presentation to schools; 2) educational materials for our presentations; and 3) displays and brochures for our public appearances.
