As you know Pearls are some of the worlds most beautiful jewels. They are naturally hard, yet incredibly smooth and perfectly round. As you may not know, they are the product of pain, Chuck Swindoll explains; For an unknown reason the shell of the oyster gets cracked and an alien substance--- a grain of sand slips inside. On the entry of that foreign irritant, all the resources within the tiny, sensitive oyster rush to the spot and begin to release healing fluids that otherwise would have remained dormant.By and by the irritant is covered and the wound is healed---by a pearl.------A perfect precious pearl is the product of a healed wound, That is what makes a pearl so precious. Swindoll observed that the tiny jewel was conceived through irritation, born of adversity, and nursed by adjustment. Pearls can only be created by suffering. Had there been no pain, there would be no pearl. No wonder our Heavenly Father will have gates of pearl.------Oaks are known for their deep roots systems. This allows them to face stiffer winds than pine trees, which have a much shallower root system. When a big storm comes along , the pines are vulnerable to being uprooted and falling over, especially when they stand alone. However, the deeper roots of the oak gives it the ability to lean into the wind and get stronger.-----As we sink the roots of our spiritual lives deep into God and His word, God enables us to handle the storms of life. As we withstand the winds of adversity, they serve to make us stronger. Have a great day.
