As you may know, I am a candidate for election in the forthcoming Town of Bassendean Council Elections. These elections will be by postal ballot and residents will receive the ballot paper in the next few days. I am posting this message to ask for your support. Over the past four years it has been a great privilege to represent you on council. I have achieved real benefits for our community including new playgrounds; summer outdoor movies; underground power for Ashfield and upgrading infrastructure in our parks and reserves. As a small business owner I bring to council an understanding for cautious financial management and the experience that has been required to drive economic and business vitality. I am proud to have been involved with the redevelopment of the Bassendean Village Shopping Centre and our first multi-story apartment and retail complex. I want to ensure ongoing investments in community facilities and infrastructure to encourage continued development and growth including the civic centre revitalisation and the redevelopment of Bassendean Oval. I ask for your support to re-elect me, to be a strong voice with the impending amalgamation and to ensure I can deliver real benefits for our community. I would like to represent you and complete the following new projects. -Wind in the Willows child care upgrade -Continue to upgrade Community Buildings and Facilities -Civic Gardens Project -Increase Solar Lighting in our Parks and Reserves -Implementing the Redevelopment of Bassendean Oval -New toilets at Ashfield Reserve -Support for Regional and District Play Grounds I Need Your Support RE-ELECT Mike LEWIS Vote 1 on the ballot.
