As you may know, I have an incredibly fulfilling private practice in Midtown, Manhattan. My love for working with individuals and couples continues to deepen and grow every day. I have spent the last year dedicating more time to growing my social media platforms. I find that when used correctly, it’s a beautiful way to reach more people in order to deliver important, and inspiring messages. Specifically, Instagram, has been an incredible space for me to connect with like minded people who also dedicate themselves to challenging, and growing those following them. I have met so many wonderful people who look to always transform and grow themselves. I’m not sure there is anything better than being around people who want similar things, and who are already living the type of life I want to lead. It’s inspirational, and it calls me to be better. Although seeing clients is incredibly fulfilling, I began to think how I could create a setting that would allow for like-minded people to come together and thrive. The answer was simple. Amazing people. Awe inspiring beaches. Personal growth. Amazing Food. Fitness. I had previously created MindSweat, the combination of intensive physical activity followed directly by therapy, in order to optimize the therapeutic experience. In short, MindSweat uses the natural release of endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine (to name a few) in order to process through issues with less emotional flooding. Less jargon??? When we work out, the chemicals that are released into the brain serve as powerful mood and mind-boosters. Think about it…if our mood is boosted, processing through difficult things is a bit less daunting.
