Ascension Adventures Day 09 December 9th, 2014 Tour #A PALENQUE, CHIAPAS Ascension Adventures team of adventurers make it to the great kingdom of Lord Pakal, one of the most iconic figures of Mayan legacy and history itself. Palenque is also one of the joys not just iconic Mayan pyramids but one of the most studied, because many of its ancestral heritage still intact surviving the test of time. Palenque is located in the Mexican State of Chiapas on a low land rainforest type of vegetation, teeming with wildlife, monkeys and incredible birds, rivers, mountains, indigenous people still living in the ancestral ways since millennia. Chiapas is also the home of the EZLN group lead by COMANDANTE MARCOS, a modern day Che Guevara!! During our visit to Palenque, our team will explore the inner chambers of the central complex along numerous other structures located throughout the site. Palenque is one of the most beautiful pyramids ever built with such cosmic complexity and divine alignmen.. We will participate on a Mayan ceremony and give an offering to the ancestral patrons that still protect this incredible sacred precinct.. Ascension team will be staying in a beautiful Eco retreat inside the jungle with rivers flowing an exotic experience u dont want to miss!! Our time in Palenque will be magical, we will visit the nearby rivers, one of the tallest cascades in Mexico, the famous Agua Azul waters filled with crystal blue jade falls, try the delicious Mayan cuisine, and explore the thick jungles of the Lacandon visiting the Lacandon Indians and our good friend and master shaman cayun.
