Asher was deep in thought...about ChicFila, LOL!!! Getting ready for spinal tap then off to his room for a long day of chemo. Gonna be admitted so; its guys night out. Took a snapshot of the sunrise on the way this morning and thought about the Lords words in Malachi...BUT UNTO YOU THAT FEAR MY NAME SHALL THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS ARISE WITH HEALING IN HIS WINGS; AND YE SHALL GO FORTH AND GROW UP AS CALVES OF THE STALL (Malachi 4:2). Theres not a play on words with the spelling of Sun in this verse. Malachi clearly showed that the SON (Jesus Christ) far outshines the sun that the heathens worshipped then and still do today. The darkness is around us - spiritual, religious, ecclesiastical darkness. But Brethren in the Lord, the SUN OF RIGHTEOUSS points to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, His divinity, and glory! I thought about HIM when seeing the sunrise this morning. I thought about HIM in the face of Ashers trial and our family. I thought about HIM when considering my salvation and testimony. Im still thinking about HIM as I type my thoughts trusting that someone reading this will likewise think about HIM! I pray for revival (not the kind that is scheduled on a church sign, which is not revival at all) , but genuine revival for Gods sheep who hear, not the preachers voice; not the music leaders voice, not the politicians voice, not the philosophers voice, not anyones voice but HIS voice. I pray for you this morning to know what it is to have Malachi 4:2 as a reality in your life. God grant it to you so that your testimony, in the face of whatever darkness or trial you might face, rings with thunderous fear, joy, and faith that you know HIM and that all glory belongs to HIM! Amen. Pray for the Brethren. We love you and thank HIM for your prayers and support!!!
