Asian Air Gun Shooting: Manpreet Singh misses junior gold in rapid fire pistol NEW DELHI, OCT. 24: Manpreet Singh missed the gold in the shoot-off 1-2 against Zhang Tianshuai of China in the 25-metre rapid fire pistol for junior men in the 6th Asian Air Gun shooting championship in Tehran, Iran. However, in men’s rapid fire pistol, Olympic silver medallist Vijay Kumar was placed fifth, while Mahednra Singh managed to land the bronze behind two Chinese. In junior women air rifle, Shalini Chahar pipped compatriot Anjum Moudgil by 0.1 point to ensure the bronze medal. She missed a better medal by 0.2 point. In women’s air rifle, China dominated by sweeping the three individual medals. Pooja Ghatkar missed a medal by 0.6 point and placed fourth. The results: Men: Rapid fire pistol: 1.
