Asian Youth Stab British Mother to Death... A MUM was fatally stabbed last night after an egging prank in Melbournes north. The woman, 47, and her husband went in pursuit of a group of four to five teenage boys in their car after their home in Tunbridge Crescent, Lalor, was egged. The couple drove until they found the boys in nearby Curtin Ave, and the husband got out of the car to chase two of the boys, a detective said. When the husband returned to their car, he found his wife dead on the footpath. Sen-Det Ron Iddles, of the homicide squad, said the woman had had a confrontation with two to three young males. The husband rang 000 and tried to resuscitate his wife, but when paramedics arrived just three minutes later she was dead. The incident happened about 8.15pm. A 15-year-old boy was helping police with their inquiries late last night. But Sen-Det Iddles said the boy was not believed to have inflicted the wounds. Sen-Det Iddles pleaded with the other youths, all of Asian descent, to come forward. My appeal is for those people to contact us, come forward with your mum and dad and your solicitor so we can work out whats happened, he said. I just think its a pretty tragic event. You have four to five young boys, teenagers, who for whatever reason have thrown eggs at the house and car. The people have gone out to, I suppose, challenge them, find them, find the reason why they threw the eggs and, sadly, now one of them is dead - all over someone throwing eggs. A man visiting the street said he heard a commotion and went outside to find paramedics performing CPR on the woman. The womans white station wagon remained in the street at an angle to the gutter on the wrong side of the road late last night, just metres from her body.
