Asif for concrete measures to resolve energy problem ISLAMABAD, Aug 1 (APP): Federal Minister for Water and Power, Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz government was taking concrete measures to bring improvement in the energy sector.He said “We have achieved the target to produce 16000 mega watt (MW) electricity.” He said that all out efforts are being made to reduce loadshedding and control electricity theft. Minister said that electricity would be provided to industry properly after Ramazan ul Mubarak so that poor workers daily life matters could be run smoothly. Talking to a private television channel, he said that those elements involved in the power pilferage, would be given punishment according to law. He said that problem of loadshedding in some parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa was due to non-payment of electricity bills. Khawaja Asif said that people should pay the utility bills to enjoy the facility. Replying to a question he said that people should use electricity according to their need. He said that focus is being given to improve transmission lines, and transformers so that smooth flow of electricity could be made possible. Replying to another question he said “Every person should respect the judiciary which is an important institution of the country.” He said that targeting Election Commission of Pakistan and Judiciary should be avoided at all cost. Federal Minister also appreciated the working of Supreme Court for protecting laws and Constitution in the country.
