Sounds obvious, but these four things can give you more energy. Exercise helps you sleep well, giving your body the rest you need. Just be sure not to sleep too much as this will have the opposite effect on energy levels. Fueling up with the right foods helps you maintain a steady energy level. Eating foods with a low glycemic index — whose sugars are absorbed slowly — may help you avoid the lag in energy that typically occurs after eating quickly absorbed sugars or refined starches. Foods with a low glycemic index include whole grains, high-fiber vegetables, nuts, protein and healthy oils such as olive oil. Increasing your H2O intake helps your body stay hydrated properly. When your body is short on fluids, one of t he first signs is fatigue. Finally, control that stress! Stress-induced emotions take a toll on the body, zapping your energy. Relax. Youll feel better!
