Asking again for suggestions. I have a brand new electric guitar with everything we need including dvd lessons. We have tuned it, and if ¨plucking¨individual notes, each one plays well and sounds like it is a 3rd above the last. (I play classical piano, so I have good reading/playing skills, but no guitar know how whatsoever.) However, when she is trying to hold down a chord on the fret (again I hope wording is right) no sound whatsoever comes out of the guitar. Its like the notes are on mute. Any suggestions? She is ready to try learning, actually has been since Christmas, but I dont have any ideas. I may have to hire a teacher, but was hoping we could get started and feel our way through
