Aspiring actors Clint Brink visited the housemates one last time to dispense advice about working in the entertainment industry. He opened the floor for the housemates to ask questions and share what they had learnt over the past few weeks. They were profuse in their gratitude towards Clint, thanking him for all that he had taught them. Many of the Hotshots already have a foot in the door of the industry and hopefully Big Brother Africa will crack it open a little wider. Watch Clint chat to the Hotshots: As a radio and television host, Butterphly’s skills lie in presenting, which she displayed on numerous occasions during tasks and extravaganzas, often being cast successfully in the role of narrator. Idris took everyone by surprise with his unexpected talent for comedy. During the Shakespearean Extravaganza he showed particularly good use of his comic timing. JJ also did well in clownish roles, but he could have a future in pantomime, as he took to the cross-dressing with aplomb. He showed off his gender-bending skills in the Shakespearean Extravaganza and even when he was off stage and had to impersonate Natasha this week. Often cast in a motherly role in the house, M’am Bea carried this persona through to the stage, playing a mother to Ellah during the Shadow Dance Extravaganza, as well as the good-hearted lion in Forest Fantasy. Everyone knows that Macky2 is renowned as a rapper, and he often incorporated his skill into the extravaganzas; but he also showcased his acting ability through numerous roles and displayed a great bout of physical comedy during the Shakespearean Extravaganza. Nhlanhla has a great understanding for text and had a successful go at parody when he penned the script for the Comedy of Errors with JJ, wherein they did send-ups of the other housemates. He also took well to directorial roles, contributing creatively and guiding others without trying to take over. Sipe expressed a desire to pursue acting and she has had a lot of practice in the last few weeks, going from strength to strength. She portrayed any character she was harnessed with, no matter the challenge and did it with a lot of enthusiasm. Tayo was often seen on his drums, expressing his emotion through the beats. The extravaganzas and tasks gave him the chance to integrate and display his drumming skills. He also showed versatility with the roles he played from Bollywood nobility to an old granny. All the Hotshots have had a chance to learn, grow and shine. We’ve watched them tackle all kinds of genres and roles and can’t wait to see what they get up to once the game is over.
