Assalaamoalaikum Warahamatullaahe Wabarakaatohu, Dowry system in India and pakistan has increased to an immeasurable height. The growing number of daughters are staying unmarried simply because the parents are not able to meet the demands of groom’s family. Even after her marriage she is been forced to get valuables from her family though after her marriage she is her husband’s responsibility, and if she fails to meet her husband’s demands she’s either tortured by him or sent back to her home. The system of dowry has been practiced in India Pakistan since time immemorial. Marriage which is one of the most beautiful relation; has been ruined due to dowry demands. This is a serious issue that needs to be looked into and resolved for the better. .. Islam strictly prohibit about DOWRY .It is an extra burdan on the girls parents. Our new generation must think that we must accomplish this custom in our society. Islam teaches that the dowry should be reduced and made simple, and that this is in the interests of both the husband and the wife. As the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said : The best of marriage is that which is made easiest. Narrated by Ibn Hibbaan, classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al- Jaami, 3300.... May ALLAH give us ability to lead a simple and happy isamic way of life...!! plzzz : Just stop following the traditions of other religions, and instead follow the way of Rasulullah . Unfortunately, people find this extremely hard to do because its usually going against ones nafs as well as others and their desires...Allah give us all guidance to follow what He truly wills from us, Ameen.
