Assalaamu alaykum! As we know, it is sunnah to fast on the Day of Arafah, and as such, KCL ISOC warmly invites you to the Yawm-ul-Arafah Iftaar in your respective Prayer Rooms on Friday 3rd Oct, at Maghrib! We request that you bring your own food, but also some food to share with others inshaAllah so that we can this a communal event as we break our fasts. The Prophet (pbuh) said, “No good deed done on other days is superior to what is done on these first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah.” Then some companions asked, “Not even struggling (jihad) in the cause of Allah?” The Prophet said, “Not even struggling in the cause of Allah, except in the case of a man who goes out with his life and wealth in danger and returns with nothing - Sahih Bukhari It is recommended to increase our glorification of Allah and acts of charity during these first ten days, and with Charity Week coming up soon its the perfect opportunity to give sadaqah for the pleasure of Allah (swt).
