Assalamu alaikum this message concerns every human being who has feelings. I am writing to you this time with a very important request. It concerns Syria. One Estonian sister - Jaana Aran - has launched a project in Estonia for helping Syrian refugees. During the month of September we have managed to gather 2 big containers of clothes and footware for Syrians to send to the refugee camp in Turkey. Estonians have also donated money for sending the container. In the beginning we thought maybe we will manage to gather clothes for 1 small container, but in the end we got more than 2 big containers to send (the clothes that were left from the 2 big containers, we redistributed here in Estonia to poor people). Alhamdulillah, Allahu akbar! People are really generous! Unfortunately the money that we were gathering for sending the container was not enough. We managed to gather over 4000 euros, but from this we had to use money to get the donations from different Estonian towns (like Pärnu, Kuressaare, Viljandi, Tartu etc). As Estonian media was really interested in our project as well, we got a lot in the news and a lot of people got to know about our little project. Still, this 4000 euros was just enough to pay for transportation of the things to Tallinn and then to pay for the 2 containers to go to Turkey by sea. They will arrive in Mersin inshaAllah. But to pay the customs, taxes and transport in Turkay from Mersin to the refugee camp we need 1800 euros for 1 container. Estonian Foreign Ministry has given us 2000 euros to help us, but we still need 1600 euros. We have been trying different things but it is really hard to find this money. Any sum would be of great help. We also made an official webpage for the project and we have it in different languages.
