Assamese are simple, sensitive, and innocent people. Yesterday, one militant group inhumanly killed tribals in two districts of Assam with a suspicion that they had have let some useful information leaks to the security agencies. Govt. has done a big mistake in engaging itself in gathering sensitive information from the locals or tribals of Assam. This strategy will not workout in 7 sisters states and may turn out to be costly one as it generates violent trouble to the ethnics here. I feel very sad for those who paid lives for nothing of their fault and cannot pardon the Govt. senseless act. that too after hundreds of innocent deaths. Military will rush to the places and will bring another set of troubles to these innocent ethnical groups rather than bringing relief from militant groups as the terrains are different and unapproachable. Military may engage in mad combing and in the process as usual may hurt commoners. A sociological or anthropological approach is needed in understanding the nuances sublime in the heart of these ethnics. A careful, sensible approach is required to eliminate militancy here. The whole nation should give a thought and time to the lives of the ethnic groups in 7 sister states. Hope that BJP would understand and act accordingly.
