Assault and theft incident, Earlville: An investigation is underway into an incident that occurred at an Earlville shopping centre on Monday afternoon. A 12-year-old Woree boy was securing his bicycle to a bike rack at the complex at around 3pm when he was approached by another boy who demanded his bike. The victim declined to hand it over and the offender then punched him to the face. The victim then entered the shopping complex and returned a short time later to find his bike and lock had been stolen. The offender is described as being a male around 12 years of age and of Aboriginal appearance, who was possibly part of a group of three. The victim was not physically injured as a result of the incident.
