Assistant Manager: Credit Management Estates POST 27/26 : REF NO: ASM/EST/2013/06-1 Finance Section SALARY : R252 144 - R 297 006 per annum (basic salary) CENTRE : Pretoria REQUIREMENTS : B.Com/B.Compt/Tertiary qualification in accounting/credit management and at least 5 years experience in an credit management/accounting environment – preferable in a pension fund, of which 2 years should be in a supervisory role or Grade 12 qualification with 8 years experience in credit management/accounting in pension fund administration, of which 2 years should be in a supervisory role. Proven experience in credit management especially in gratuities, annuities and retirements. Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment; Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problemsolving environment. Ability to work under pressure and deal with large volumes; Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills; Excellent leadership and management skills. Ability to make decisions and act in uncertain situations. Influencing people and events. Embracing continuous improvement DUTIES : The key output from the role is to ensure sound credit management of deceased debtors and compliance to GPAA credit management policy. This will be supported by reconciled general ledger accounts, reduction on debtor’s book. The main GPAA Credit Management Estates processes include: Debtors book management. Reduction of debtor’s book. Management of write offs. General ledger reconciliations on debtors book. Monthly debtor’s book reports. Management of the Estate section. Performance management. NOTE : The Assistant Manager Credit Management: Estate’s primary goal is to act as the custodian of the GPAA estate debtors and general reconciliation relating to these accounts; supporting finance business unit in order to achieve the divisional strategic goals, by providing effective and efficient corporate and operational credit management. This position will be filled on a permanent basis.
