Assistant Manager (payroll/benefits) Job Details Job Location:Cairo , Egypt Company Industry:Banking Job Description The role is supposed to help the Bank to achieve its mission “stimulating a consistent expansion of and diversification of African trade so as to rapidly increase Africa’s share of global trade, while operating as a first class, profit oriented, socially responsible financial institution and a centre of excellence in African trade matters” by carrying out all required activities under the bank’s recruitment and payroll processes; to ensure that the Bank’s payroll process runs smoothly, within the given deadlines and that all staff benefits and entitlements are properly processed on time, while also supporting the HR function in other HR Services. Requirements • Good Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University and a relevant post graduate degree in HR or any related field. A professional qualification in HR may be accepted in lieu of a post graduate degree; • Professional HR practice and experience, with specific reference to payroll and benefits management of not less than 5 years. Experience in the financial services industry is essential; • Strong skills in excel is a requirement and so is practical experience of using payroll software in an ERP environment. Experience of using the HCM module in SAP will be a distinct advantage; Skills • Ability to communicate and function in a culturally diverse and change oriented setting with good knowledge of HR practices in Africa; • Ability to interact with staff at all levels and to present clarification and advice on various HR issues to staff; • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of the Bank’s other official languages will be an added advantage (French, Arabic and Portuguese); • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain fairly complex payroll related processes to staff.
