Assistant Professor - Francophone Studies - Tenure-Track University of Houston Description: The Department of Modern and Classical Languages at the University of Houston invites applications for a tenure track position, at the level of Assistant Professor, in Francophone Studies. PhD required at time of application. Area of specialization: Caribbean, Maghreb, Sub-Saharan Africa, or North America with secondary research and teaching expertise in areas such as diaspora, migration, film, or gender studies. A successful candidate must be able to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in our French and World Cultures and Literatures programs. Interest in collaborative work with other relevant disciplines is preferred. Native or near-native proficiency in French and English required.
