Assistant Professor Political Science Daemen College Daemen College invites applications for a full time, tenure track position in Political Science at the rank of Assistant Professor. A Ph.D. in Political Science with specialization in International Relations or Comparative Politics is required. Area expertise in East Asia or South Asia is preferred; Middle East or Latin America also considered. ABD applicants will be considered only with evidence of anticipated completion prior to Fall 2015. Applicants must have teaching experience, and the promise of teaching excellence, at the undergraduate level. As part of a 4-3 teaching load, the successful candidate will be required to teach an upper-level research methods course, introduction to comparative politics/international relations, a range of lower/upper division courses in the candidates areas of expertise, and to participate in the senior thesis rotation. We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate the promise of active involvement in curricular and program development, and commitment to innovative teaching. All Daemen faculty are responsible for student advisement and are encouraged to serve as moderators/facilitators for student organizations and activities. Applicants must also have a commitment to department/college service and a willingness to participate in the Colleges innovative core curriculum and other various college-wide initiatives. Experience working with diverse student and faculty populations and evidence of an active, productive research agenda are also required.
