Associate Professor Christopher Newell AM worked in the medical faculty of the University of Tasmania, speaking and publishing widely in his chosen fields of medical ethics, spirituality, pastoral theology, bio-ethical issues and the situation of people with disabilities. TasTAFE have now taken receipt of 19 boxes of his research material and papers. This will be available as a unique separate private collection at the Clarence Campus Library later this year for student to research and study. He was a joint author of Disability in Australia : exposing a social apartheid among other publications.
