Association "Romania Without Them" expresses the solidarity with Polish farmers from Zurawlow in their desperate effort to defend their lands and rights of citizens against the U.S. company Chevron and the indifference of the Polish authorities. In Romania we confront a similar situation, for APM Constanta gave permit for commencement of seismic prospecting to the company "Prospectiuni S.A." without environmental impact study and without information / consultation with all the inhabitants of the two blocks, Costineşti and Vama Veche, concessions of Chevron company. Moreover, the knowingly impairment, of freely expressed will of the citizens at Costineşti in a valid referendum on 9 December 2012, when they, for more than 94% voted against shale gas extraction through hydraulic fracturing. Association "Romania Without Them" notified APM Constanta regarding these permits, drawing attention to rules and procedures violated and demanding the cancellation of the environmental agreements concerned.
