Assuming I am understanding this correctly, theres a certain amusing irony at play here. The pensions are taxpayer funded and go to people who retire from a civil service job. They dont fund their own pensions, right? They might throw some money in indirectly through taxes, but its not as if theyre funding through a 401K. So...the unions that so love to endorse the Democrat party have a LOT of explaining to do. They backed the guy who apparently has no loyalty to anyone. Hes told conservatives that they have no place in this state, but now hes also threatening to short change civil servants. Members of CSEA and PEF. Cuomo is allowing municipalities to NOT fund the pension accounts, much like LBJ first allowed the government to steal from the social security lock box. Instead of cutting expenses, the Democrats believe its better to rob Peter to pay Paul. Theyre stealing from us, and its been going on for years. Thats the deal here folks.
