At 0530hrs Humberside Police received a call to say that a red Ford KA had collided with a telegraph pole on the B1239 Preston Road, Bilton. The telegraph pole was carrying electricity cables which had been severed and were dangling 10ft from the road. Northern Grid has isolated the power to this cable and they will attend to repair the cable later today. The B1239 has been closed from B1238 up to Lelley Road and will remain closed until further notice. Traffic disruption can be expected until the road closures are lifted. The driver of the Ford KA was taken to HRI by ambulance and was later discharged with minor injuries. Log 50 11/08/2014
