At 12:01am this morning, September 23, 2013, Title II of the new U.S. JOBS Act took effect. The new SEC regulations are expected to make it easier for entrepreneurs to raise capital by reaching accredited investors through ads and social media. Until today, businesses had been prohibited from using general solicitation for securities since 1933. The JOBS Act is ultimately expected to pave the way for securities-based crowdfunding under Title III of the Act. Contact PPM Funding for more information.
